Background

We are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer who can onboard quickly and contribute to our high priority features and Rewards from Ikea Family country rollout which is a crucial big initiative.

The scope of the consultant services is to assist IKEA in

You will help us create and improve a user-friendly rewards program experience within IKEA for many markets worldwide, each with its own market needs.

The work that we are doing is mainly customer facing so it is not only important that we strive for a frictionless rewards experience but also that resiliency and scalability are important cornerstones for the deliveries.

In this role, you will report to an engineering manager in the Loyalty capability area.

You are curious, proactive in way of learning and pushing your skills.

You believe in taking a pragmatic approach and value simplicity when building new solutions.

Requirements:

Desired knowledge, experience, competence, skills etc

Comfortable building advanced web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks such as

• React

• Typescript

• Jest

• NPM

• Node

• Cypress

• HTML, CSS.

• Able to deliver secure, scalable, and resilient services based on DevOps principles.

• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms – preferably GCP (Google Cloud Platform), but other platforms are great too!

• An understanding of modern observability practices such as distributed tracing, structured logging and metrics.

• Have great written and verbal communication skills.
